I adore my dogs .Everyone who knows me, knows this. They have the sweetest personality of anyone in my family; never crabby, loves humans, and probably would happily welcome a burglar into our home.
however, Chelsea was and Jackson is starting to be a counter-surfer. Brie cannot reach yet. Jackson is strong and athletic, he can (and will) reach and consume any food that is left within striking distance. This can be quite annoying, especially if you have gone to the trouble of cooking. He shows no remorse, even after all the verbal abuse, so……….Every time I see a list of foods a dog should not eat, I try to skim through it. Science learns more every day and occasionally I catch something new. That’s what happened today when I viewed this Wed MD slideshow. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to run through it; it’s short and to the point, and well worth your time.

Positive Reinforcement is widely recognised by dog training experts as the best and kindest way how to train puppy.

It is good for puppies and good for you as a loving and caring puppy owner determined to cement the foundations of a great relationship with your canine companion,

I tell Brie this all the time….Brie Hunny, you are a white standard poodle, you are not allowed to play in the earth.

Digging holes, dogs love to dig. Why do dogs dig? Who knows? I think because they are dogs and because it is pleasurable and fun.

since Brie has come into my life I have once again gone overboard with photos. I just can’t help myself! She is a gift and is nothing short of miraculous for me. And even with the sleep challenges we all face with a new puppy, and the training (of which I’m actually guilty of being less strict than in my younger years I’m thrilled to have this special girl in my life.

I am always on the lookout for the healthiest and safest dog treats, I found Himalayan Dog Chew. Christmas Week in the Country

The sun was making its appearance on the horizon, we were already outside for a day of running and exploration, Winter days are often gloomy with frigid temperatures, heavy snowfall, and limited sunlight but on this day of fun and adventure the weather showed mercy and blessed us with ideal conditions.

Brie is 11 months old

They ran through muddy fields running at full speed back and forth across the property for the pure joy of running. We love watching them run with such a burst of energy, free to roam and explore.

It took three towels before I could even bring her inside

we love our dogs, and they love us even more. There are many ways to raise a dog, as long as we raise them with the love they deserve. So when they come running up to you with wet kisses, or dropping a favorite toy at your feet for a friendly game of “tug of war”. They are simple happy dogs!

I can’t believe Brie is having her first birthday! Time has really flown by and reflecting on last year, it’s been a great one. I can’t believe it!

It is amazing how fast a year can go by when you are not paying attention. It seems like only yesterday when we brought Brie home. Yet, here we are celebrating her birthday.
People often ask me what it is like to have two Poodles in my family. Many want to get a companion for their current dog and think that bringing a second one into their house will take care of all the playing and make life easier. Ha! Double the trouble but Double the fun too. Brie is my shadow and makes me laugh harder than any human could. She always wants love and when I am on the couch, she is right there beside me all snuggled up.
Always a loving companion and always making my heart feel good. However, she eats sticks, runs after anything that moves and does she have a voice on her! and the pitch gets higher the more you ignore her.
Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Brie! May we have many more happy, healthy loving years.

Jacks and Brie were playing in the snow all morning, Brie came in the house and went to take a nap. This was not okay with Jacks , he went to get her best toy, walked over to Brie and showed her he had it, that got her attention, It worked! Brie ran after Jacks and her toy, Jacks was very happy and they raced around the house, Brie barking at Jacks and Jacks wagging his tail running away from her.
I sit and watch them smiling, which I can do all day.
