Puppy love

Dec, 2013

I could blog for hours on why I love you both so much but I will keep this short. I love how smart you are, how beautiful you both are, the way you walk, how you try to talk/bark back to me, the way you both lay your paws and head on me, and how gentle you can be, the willingness to learn is always a game, how you use nose to find things, your hair which doesn’t shed, your ability to retrieve, how you swim,,how you hunt in the country, your the best of friends always keeping an eye out for each other, closest companions, guard dogs, and the biggest clowns to get a smile from me. I’ve been in love with this breed since I was 10 and I’m 60. My big boy thinks nothing of crushing me to try to fit in my lap…you both never cease to amaze me. I wish everyone could know what remarkable dogs this breed is. Let’s not forget how you can spell, they know C.A.R. and C.O.O.K.I.E and when I tell them we are going to the country or the park they run to the garage door ready to get into the car.

Plowing through the Snow.

Do you think there is enough snow?

Snow Much Fun

Hanukkah in the country

My Dogs love the snow. They gallop and smile while running with their heads under the snow, stopping only to take a quick roll and they get a lot more exercise
running in the snow than just taking a walk.

Morning Makeup

Jackson got into my makeup this morning, I was out for 2 hours, when he hears the automatic garage door open he runs and sits on the steps waiting for me to open the inside door, Hi ya Jax….and ……..I see a nose full of beige something, WHAT DID YOU GET INTO?, I walk upstairs and I see polka dots all over the floor, and all over my leather couch in the family room (
“an open door is an invitation”? I guess that’s what I am doing here, am I telling him (leaving him alone in the room) that it is ok to take, chew, or play with anything he can reach. Jackson took Mikes cell phone off the coffee table right in front of me and had settled down for a good chew before I could startle him into leaving the phone alone. I knew I had to play it cool or else we were going to play a game of snatch run and chase with the phone. (One of his favorite games) Instead I picked up a squeaky toy and gave it a squeak. Well he dropped the phone right away, I put the phone in a safe place and rewarded him for coming to me by playing with his toy. Am I giving him too much freedom? Going to go clean some leather furniture now. Grrrrrrr.
Remember puppy parents…..
A tired puppy is a good puppy.

Note to Mom:
If you didn’t want me to eat it, why did you leave it out where I could get it?

Chicken Breasts , last nights dinner Not

Makes 1 portion

1.Watch mom put chicken on counter. Boneless is best, goes down better.

2.When no one  is looking, jump up to the counter grab and swallow whole.         Very tasty.

3.Hide, or mommy and daddy will take you to doggy hospital to get chicken back. Not good.

4. Repeat steps 1 – 3
