Walt’s Margarita’s

Closely guarded MARGARITA formal….
This is my version and directions must me followed to the letter:
Brand name ingredients are the key:

Ingredients:
1 part HIRHAM WALKER Triple Sec
2 parts CAZADORES Tequila
3 Parts JOSE QUERVO Margarita Mix
Fresh Lime
Fresh Tangerine (orange if necessary)
Purified Ice
JOSE QUERVO Margarita Salt

Directions:
Prepare area to perform the MIXING. Level surface, clean with room to work.
Have two (2) bar towels near by: One (1) dry – One (1) wet, well rung out.
Blender should be clean and properly placed in the center of the work area.
A bowl (small to Medium) for the Lime and Tangerine and sharp serrated knife.
Large Straws with Wide OPENING. Traditional Margarita Glasses are acceptable,
I prefer a 16 oz. GLASS Beer Mug with a handle.

Prepare the glass receptacle FIRST!
a) Rinse in cool water the glass receptacle
b) Place in the Freezer (Upside DOWN)
Note: Glass receptacle Must be in the Freezer at least 15 Mins. and no more than
One (1) hour

Prepare Lime:
a) Cut off ends of the Lime at least 1/2 inch
b) Cut one Lime into 4 equal pieces
c) Remove ALL seeds
d) Cut the CENTER CORE of the Lime 1/8 to 1/4 inch from each slice
e) Place in Bowl

Prepare Tangerine:
a) Cut off ends of the Tangerine at least 1/2 inch
b) Cut one Tangerine into 4 equal pieces
c) Remove ALL seeds
d) Cut the CENTER CORE of the Lime 1/8 to 1/4 inch from each slice
e) Place in Bowl

NOTE: Removing the seeds, ends and center core is critical in preserving taste!

In the blender, place:
a) 1 part HIRHAM WALKER Triple Sec
b) 2 parts CAZADORES Tequila
c) 3 Parts JOSE QUERVO Margarita Mix
d) Fill with ICE to 1/2 inch above the Liquid Level – Ice should fill to the bottom of
the Blender
e) Squeeze One Slice of Tangerine and One Slice of Lime on top

Blend at HIGH SPEED until a SOFT SLUSHY texture is OBTAINED.
f) Bend again for at least 15 seconds more.
NOTE: Under blending makes for a LESS enjoyable indulgence.

g) Use the Wet bar towel to hold the blender lid in place

THE POUR:
a) Take the Chilled Glass Receptacles and dip JUST the Rim of the Glass into the
BLENDER with the mix, moistening the rim.
b) Dip 3/4 of the RIM of the glass into the SALT Leave 1/4 unsalted
c) Pour Mix into the Glass
d) LIGHTLY SPLASH a little HIRHAM WALKER Triple Sec on the top
d) Place One (1) slice of LIME and One (1) slice of Tangerine on the UNSALTED
Portion of the glass. Serve with a Straw.

ON THE SIDE:
Serve One (1) Shot of CAZADORES Tequila in a traditional shot glass.
NOTE: Salt 1/4 of the RIM of the Shot glass and serve with a Slice of Lime.
