the scent of roasting garlic, butter, and cheese whats not to love.
7 medium-sized cloves of garlic, chopped
4 tablespoons olive oil with a pinch of salt and pepper, and a pinch of chili peppers for the spicy lovers
4 tablespoons butter
2 cups shredded mozzarella
4 teaspoons dried parsley
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Heat the oil in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for 3-5 minutes, until the garlic starts to turn translucent, add the salt and pepper. While the garlic is simmering, cut the baguette down the middle and flatten it open, as if you’re butterflying a chicken.
Evenly spread the butter along the bread, and when the garlic is done sautéing, evenly pour the garlic and oil across the bread. Sprinkle the cheese evenly on top, and sprinkle the parsley on top of that. Place in the oven and bake for 7-10 minutes, or until the edges start to toast and the cheese starts to crisp. Cut into slices and serve.
* I use 2 small rolls for the two of us, if I would of used a baguette I would of eatten it all 🙂
